Christopher Ashcroft is a third year Ph.D. student investigating the structure-property relationships and nonlinear optics of octupolar organometallic complexes. This is undertaken through the use of both experimental and computational techniques. More specifically, he is currently investigating a series of Zn(II) dihalides with coordinated pyridine ligands.
Christopher joins our group from Queen's University, Belfast where he completed a MSci degree in Physics. His final year research project focused on the injection and control of domain wall structures in inorganic ferroelectric materials.
