Pankaj is enrolled on the CDT in Computational Methods for Materials Science course and has completed the MPhil in Scientific Computing portion. Currently, he is working on a PhD with the Molecular Engineering group in collaboration with the ISIS facility at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. His project aims to use machine learning and data-mining techniques to predict material properties for engineering applications.
Pankaj completed his BSci in Physics at King's College London. His third-year project was a study on using Machine Learning techniques to design Chiral Metamaterials with applications in bio-sensing. During his time in London, Pankaj also worked with the Theory & Simulation of Condensed Matter group at King's College London to build a classifier using Support Vector Machine to classify Platinum isomers at the nanoscale.
