Teng Zhao is a third year Ph.D. student studying the design of new dyes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) with higher efficiencies and exploring the application of graphene oxide in DSSCs. This is undertaken via both experimental and computational techniques. She is currently using DFT/TD-DFT calculations in Gaussian to study the structure-property relationships of dyes.
Teng joins our group from Nanjing University, China where she completed a B.Sc. degree in Physics. Her final year undergraduate project focused on the fabrication and characterization of graphene.
